Who Is He?

He is Jesus. The Christ.

He is the Third of God who came to Earth 2,000 years ago.

Reigning with God and the Holy Spirit since time began, He left his heavenly comfort zone to become a helpless baby in a barn, to serve the poor of Palestine.

And to die for everyone on Earth who did not want to die but could not help themselves.

The Trinity, the Triune God, is a great mystery.

You may have heard the term Three-Headed God  (not in scripture) to describe the Trinity, but I prefer a Three-Hearted God (also not in scripture).

The distinctive Christian doctrine is that there is one God.
The Father is God.
The Son is God.
The Holy Spirit is God.
There is a distinction between the persons so that the Father is not the Son; the Father is not the Spirit, and the Son is not the Spirit.

Each is a person.

And each is love.

As humans, we can understand love only in the context of receiving it from the one who created us, and giving it back with all our hearts and souls.

Like David, we are to praise God -- Father, Son, and Spirit -- with all our hearts.

Joshua urged us to throw away the foreign gods that are among us and yield our hearts to the LORD.

And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

Paul's wish for you and I was that the Lord direct our hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.

And if we search for Him with all our heart and soul, Paul promises we will find Him.

Then, if we confess with our mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved.

May he strengthen our hearts so that we will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

The Lord your God will change your heart
and the hearts of all your descendants,
so that you will love Him with all your
heart and soul
and so you may live!

Forever!

How does Jesus get such power?

He got  it 2,000 years ago

on the Cross.

Where, fully human, just like you and me, he did not say,

"You go to hell, world,"

He said instead,

"Father, forgive them."

And

"It is finished."

And "just as Saul turned and started to leave, God gave him a new heart, and all Samuel's signs were fulfilled that day.

Who is this Jesus?

He is my savior and Lord. And I pray, if He is not yours,
God will give you a new  heart

Today.

"How precious is your unfailing love, O God!  All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings."
